More schools in North East Lincolnshire are to get cameras to help with parking enforcement.

Eastfield Primary Academy, Immingham, and New Waltham Academy will have new CCTV systems in place in time for the new school year.

Warnings will be given to motorists during the first two weeks the CCTV is in operation. After that, fines will be issued.

A traffic regulation order has also been issued for cameras outside Elliston Primary Academy, Cleethorpes, and that will be discussed at a council meeting next Tuesday.

It follows North East Lincolnshire Council previously introducing CCTV outside a dozen schools across the borough to deter problematic and unsafe parking.

Councillors at the meeting next week will also make a decision on parking restriction markings outside Healing Primary Academy, on Fords Avenue, Grimsby.

According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, the road was partly resurfaced over Easter and road restriction markings have since been absent.

A council spokesperson said the delay was due to the need for a new TRO due to the markings "no longer fit for purpose owing to their length and position".
