Train services have been delayed due to a landslip in the Lake District

Train services in parts of Cumbria have been delayed due to a landslip between two stations.

It happened between Oxenholme Lake District and Penrith North Lakes earlier this morning.

Trains running between the stations are expected to be delayed until about midday, TransPennine Express said.

Network Rail staff have arrived at the site to "fix the issue".

The line between the same two stations was blocked on Tuesday due to heavy rain flooding, the train operator said.
