Person 'seriously injured' after hit and run

A pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision near a nursery.
Essex Police officers were called to London Road, Clacton-on-Sea, shortly after 19:00 GMT on Tuesday.
A pedestrian had been involved in a collision and the car involved failed to stop at the scene near Langford Nursery, the force said.
The injured pedestrian was taken to hospital where they remained on Wednesday morning.
Police said they would like to speak to anyone who was in the London Road area between 18:00 GMT and 19:00 and had dash cam or CCTV footage.
