Quiet evening after powers used to stop party

A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause public nuisance has been released on bail

An area of Birmingham, where extra powers were put in place in response to a planned block party, remained peaceful, police said.
An arrest was made and a section 60 order issued in parts of Aston after police received information about a suspected party due to take place on Saturday evening.
Officers said no gathering took place and no issues were reported in the area.
A 20-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause a public nuisance, has been released on bail while inquiries continue.
Previous block parties, parties that involve residents of a single block or street, had resulted in trouble, West Midlands Police said.
A section 60 order had been issued which allowed officers to stop and search people without needing reasonable grounds to do so. It was was in force in parts of between 20:30 BST and 03:30 BST on Sunday.
