Emergency services are at a serious collision on the A43 near Broughton in Northamptonshire

Police are investigating a serious collision in Northamptonshire which left four people injured.

The incident happened at around 06:15 BST on the A43 near Broughton, when a black Volkswagen Passat travelling towards Kettering swerved into the opposite carriageway before correcting back.

The driver then lost control and crashed into tree.

Two children travelling in the car suffered serious injuries, while two adults, a man and a woman both in their 30s, suffered non-serious injuries.

All four were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by ambulance.

The road between the junction with Kettering Road at Broughton and the Mawsley roundabout is now open.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses and relevant dash-cam footage.
