Staff emptying a skip into a bin lorry found a man's body, an inquest heard.

Identified as Ukrainian Vitalij Maceljuch, the 36-year-old had suffered head and spinal injuries.

Coroner John Gittins told Ruthin Coroner's Court Mr Maceljuch, of no fixed abode, was discovered at a recycling centre in Ewloe, Flintshire, on the morning of 10 May.

“Investigations have been undertaken and are continuing,” he said.

Home Office pathologist Dr Jonathan Metcalfe said Mr Maceljuch's injuries appeared to have been sustained as the skip was emptied into the lorry.

The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
