A man has died after being struck in a hit-and-run car crash in Birmingham.
The incident happened on Audley Road, Stechford, at about 21:10 GMT on Sunday.
West Midlands Police said the victim had treatment at the scene, but, despite the best efforts of paramedics, he died.
A spokesperson added the driver failed to stop, and enquiries were ongoing to trace them.
Det Sgt Rich Evans from the serious collision investigation team said he would urge the driver "to do the right thing and hand themselves in".
He also appealed for witnesses and anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from around the area to come forward.
Audley Road, Flaxley Road and Iron Lane would remain shut for most of the morning, the force said.
Bus company National Express West Midlands said the number 14 service would be diverted in both directions via Station Road, Manor Road and Church Lane during the closure.
It apologised for any inconvenience caused.
