A man was taken to hospital with a head injury following an attack in Surrey, police say.

Police have appealed for information about the reported assault in Clarence Street, Staines, at about 01:30 GMT on Sunday.

The suspect is believed to be a white man in his 30s, around 6ft (183cm) tall, with short brown hair.

He was described as wearing a black coat, white t-shirt, dark-coloured trousers, and white shoes.
