Five people have been arrested in connection with a "street disturbance" that left a man with serious injuries, police said.

Officers were called to Bedehouse Bank in Bourne shortly before 23:00 BST on Saturday.

According to Lincolnshire Police, a car reportedly left the scene, with two men seen running away.

A 28-year-old man was later found injured at a property. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

On Sunday, police said two men, aged 30 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

On Monday, a force spokesperson said both men had since been released on police bail.

Two other men, aged 25 and 28, along with a 21-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply.

In respect of that alleged offence, the men were bailed, while the woman was released under investigation, police said.

The 28-year-old was further arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in custody.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police.
