A man charged with murder after his brother was stabbed 36 times at an address in West Sussex has appeared in court.

Jack Mitten, 25, was found dead at a property in Lindum Road, Worthing, at about 16:00 BST on Wednesday, Sussex Police said.

Taylor Mitten was arrested two days after the alleged attack and appeared at Crawley Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon.

The 22-year-old has been remanded in custody and will appear at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday.

Det Ch Insp Mark Cullimore said: "Jack's family will continue to receive the full support of Sussex Police as they come to terms with this heart-breaking loss.

"I would like to thank the public for their patience and support in the days since this tragic incident."
