A judge has halted the trial of three people accused of the murder of a 48-year-old man, according to police.

Helen Shakespeare, 53, her partner Anthony Hillier, 33, and her daughter Letisha Goodwin, 30, were on trial at Salisbury Crown Court charged with the murder of Raymond Groves, from Bristol, on July 2 last year, which they deny.

Mr Groves, of Hartcliffe, Bristol, was found dead at a house in Strawberry Fields in Easterton, near Devizes, Wiltshire, on 2 July.

A Wiltshire Police spokeswoman said the trial had been adjourned, with the defendants remanded in custody for a retrial.

The trial had heard Mr Groves had been stabbed to death.

The date for the new trial is yet to be set.
