A road in Wolverhampton will be closed for more than a week due to emergency gas works.

Aldersley Road between Blackburn Avenue and Green Lane is expected to remain closed until 11 October.

A diversion route is in place via multiple roads including Lower Street, Codsall Road and Oxley Moor Road, City of Wolverhampton Council said.

Cadent Gas said that the issue would "take time to resolve" but would ensure that a safe and reliable service continued for customers.
