A man who drove on a motorway without lights while four times over the drink drive limit has been been disqualified.
Kyran George, 23, of Rochemont Walk, Hackney, was arrested on September 30, after police received a number of calls about his driving on the M4.
He was travelling from London towards Bristol at around 20:15 BST with no lights on when he collided with three vehicles before hitting a Land Rover and spinning across to the verge.
While in the back of an ambulance Wiltshire Police administered a roadside breath test, taking him into custody after discovering he was far over the limit.
Appearing at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, George pleaded guilty to drink driving and was disqualified for two years.
PC Paul Davis, of the roads policing unit, said the extent of George's drink driving had been "really disgraceful".
"Putting other innocent lives at serious risk of danger is extremely selfish," he said, adding: "There is no place for people like George on our roads and I am pleased he has been given a lengthy driving ban.
"George collided with multiple cars and was so lucky that nobody was injured, or worse, killed as a result of his selfish actions."
As well as being disqualified, George was ordered to pay a £114 surcharge and £85 in Crown Prosecution Service costs.
