Officer appears to call Tiktok user 'a bit noncey'

Merseyside Police says it upholds and expects the highest standards of conduct and values from officers and staff.

A police officer is facing a review by his force's professional standards department after a video was circulated online in which he appeared to refer to a member of the public's actions as a "bit noncey".
Merseyside Police received a complaint about the video featuring the officer which was circulated on X and TikTok over the weekend, it said.
The officer in the video appears to say to a member of the public: "Do you have a problem?", before adding "you just... want to video people... bit noncey that, mate."
Police said they expected "the highest standards of conduct and values from all our officers" and would provide further updates after the review.
Merseyside Police posted on X saying: "We can confirm we have received a complaint regarding a video circulated on X and TikTok over the weekend.
"We uphold and expect the highest standards of conduct and values from all our officers and staff.
"As there is a review ongoing by our professional standards department, comments on our post have been temporarily disabled.
"Following the review, we will provide further updates as appropriate."
