Man in his 20s killed in road crash

A man in his 20s has died and another man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision.

Norfolk Police said it was called to the A143 Bungay Road in Wortwell, near Harleston on the Norfolk/Suffolk border at about 22:45 GMT on Monday where a white Seat Ibiza collided with a black Mercedes-Benz EQA.

The driver of the Seat, a man in his 20s, died at the scene.

The driver of the Mercedes, a man in his 40s, was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, in a life-threatening condition.

The road was closed while emergency services, including the fire and ambulance services, attended the scene.

The road was reopened at 12:40 on Tuesday.

The force is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or manner of driving of the vehicles prior to the collision to come forward.

It has also urged anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
