Seven people, including three teenagers, who were arrested after reports of violent disorder in a Lincolnshire market town have been bailed.

Officers were called to Drake Street in Gainsborough shortly after 23:30 BST on 28 August in response to reports of an altercation.

Two men were seriously injured and were taken to hospital for treatment, Lincolnshire Police said.

The force said three men, aged 23, 24 and 32, a boy and a girl, both aged 17, and an 18-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All seven had been released on bail as officers continued to investigate the incident, a police spokesperson added.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the force.
