Nagar Kirtan procession passes through city
- Published
Crowds of people took part in a traditional Sikh procession which travelled between two of Leicester's best-known temples.
Nagar Kirtan, one of the major events in the Leicester Sikh community's calendar, was held on Sunday between 11:30 and 15:00 GMT.
The route saw the procession walk from Guru Tegh Bahadur Gurdwara in East Park Road to Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Holy Bones.
Rolling road closures and diversions had been put in place for the event, which marks the birthday of the founder of the Sikh faith.
