A man has been arrested after a serious two-vehicle collision in Devon, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the local man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has since been released on police bail.

The collision happened on the eastbound carriageway of the A380 near Haldon Hill at about 17:20 BST on 19 September.

Officers said a motorcycle rider, 65, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital in Exeter.

The police force said the collision involved a blue Peugeot car and a black and red motorcycle, adding the driver of the car was uninjured.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has information or dashcam footage has been asked to contact the force.
