Teen hit by falling tree died from head injuries

A 16-year-old boy who was hit by a falling tree in Nottinghamshire died from head injuries, an inquest heard.

Nottinghamshire Police said Kamil Hubert-Ziolko had been clearing bushes outside a property on Rotherham Baulk, Carlton-in-Lindrick, on 15 June at the time.

An inquest at Nottingham Coroner's Court on Friday heard a provisional cause of death was reached following a post-mortem examination.

The hearing was adjourned and the inquest will resume at a date to be confirmed.

Rebecca Covington, assistant coroner, said: "I would like to take the opportunity to express my sincere condolences to Kamil's friends and family.

"I'm very sorry for your loss."
