Police are seeking witnesses after an elderly couple had £800 stolen from them in a robbery.

Hertfordshire Constabulary said the victims were approached by a man and a woman at about 12:10 BST on Saturday near Lloyds Bank in Hoddesdon High Street.

The woman distracted the couple by holding on to one of their arms while her accomplice used the cash machine - with the victim's card and details - to withdraw two amounts of £400.

Both suspects are described as white and around 50 years old with short dark hair. The woman was 5ft 3in tall and the man was of large build.

Both were wearing white clothes and spoke in broken English.
