Pub to hold Wolves themed bank holiday event
- Published
A family festival themed after the Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club will be held in the city on Monday.
The bank holiday event will have entertainment, dancers, an all-day barbeque as well as a raffle with signed merchandise from Wolves players as prizes.
Landlord Nathan Davies said his inspiration behind planning the event came from wanting to bring the community together.
The 27-year-old said the all the takings from the event would go to charity and be split equally between the Wolves Foundation, Birmingham Dogs Home, Cancer Research UK and Mind.
Mr Davies said: "Me and my partner have had the pub for 18 months now and we wanted to bring everyone together and do something amazing for charity.
"Before we took over, it used to have a reputation for trouble but we really wanted to change that."
The Leaping Wolf pub, on Waterloo Road, will host the event, named Wolf Fest, from 10:00 BST until late.
