Death of man whose body was found in park unexplained, police say

The death of a man whose body was found in a park is being treated as "unexplained", police have said.
Northumbria Police said officers were sent to a report of concern for the welfare of a man in the Shipcote Lane area of Gateshead at about 06:10 BST.
The force said emergency services attended the scene and the man was "confirmed as deceased".
Appealing for information, a representative said an investigation had been launched into the man's death.
