The remains of a farmer who had been missing from Carron Valley, near Denny, for 13 years have been found in nearby woodland.
Thomas Robb, who had dementia, was 74 when he was reported missing after failing to return home in August 2012 from a visit to Duncarron Fort, near Stirling.
A major search took place at the time involving police officers, mountain rescue teams, search and rescue dogs and police helicopters.
Police Scotland said the remains were found in woodland near Fintry at about 10:50 on 8 September and had been identified as Mr Robb.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

The last confirmed sighting of Mr Robb was at Duncarron Fort in the Carron Valley, where a music festival was being held.
At the time he was described by his family as "a fit man for his age" who was "happiest being outdoors."
A memorial trail race in Mr Robb's name was run in August 2016 to raise funds for Alzheimer's Scotland and Ochils Mountain Rescue.
Mr Robb's family is being supported by specially trained officers.
