A man has been charged with murder after a man was found stabbed to death at a property in Coventry.

Anthony Priestley, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene in Aldrich Avenue on Tuesday morning, West Midlands Police said.

Alexander Neilson, 28, of no fixed address, has also been charged with aggravated burglary and is due before magistrates in the city on Friday.

Mr Priestley's family paid tribute to him saying how much they loved him, with his daughter thanking him for "all the lovely memories".

"Anton, we loved you so much and we cannot imagine that we're never going to see you again. Our love for you will never end," his family said.
