A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man was fatally stabbed in Coventry.

The 53-year-old victim was confirmed dead at the scene in Aldrich Avenue in Tile Hill, at about 04:15 GMT, West Midlands Police said.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and remains in custody.

Officers remain at the scene carrying our enquiries, however detectives are not looking for anyone else as part of the investigation, the force added.

The victim's family are being supported by specialist officers following the stabbing.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact the force.
