A man in his 30s has died and a woman has been arrested after a crash in Gloucester earlier this week.

The collision on the B4072 Stroud Road on Monday involved a black Ford Fiesta and a blue Suzuki motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a man from the Forest of Dean, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he later died.

A woman, in her 40s from Gloucester, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation. Gloucestershire Police are to appealing for witnesses to come forward.
