Man, 19, seriously injured in shooting

West Midlands Police has said officers remain at the scene

A man was seriously injured when he was shot in the leg in Wolverhampton, police have said.

The emergency services were called to the Peel Street car park just before 16:40 BST on Sunday.

Attending paramedics discovered the injured 19-year-old and he was transported to hospital, where he remains.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said detectives were working to establish exactly where the shooting happened, and added officers remained at the scene.
