'Key witness' in rape investigation comes forward

Sussex Police officers said a man has since come forward to support their investigation

A "key witness" has come forward to speak to police investigating the rape of a woman in Worthing town centre.
The attack took place in an alley behind the Guildbourne Shopping Centre car park and Chatsworth Road at about 03:00 BST on 25 October, according to Sussex Police.
On Tuesday, detectives published a CCTV image of a man who might have "crucial information to support the investigation".
Sussex Police said a man has since come forward to support the force's inquiries.
Police said specialist officers were supporting a 45-year-old female victim after the incident.
Officers previously arrested a 42-year-old man in connection with the rape, who has since been bailed.
Sussex Police asked any other witnesses or people with information about the incident to also come forward.
