A man has died in a crash on the A27 in Hampshire.

The air ambulance landed on the dual carriageway following the incident near Hilsea at 10:30 BST.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said a man, aged in his 60s and from Emsworth, died in the single-vehicle crash.

The force said his next of kin had been notified.

Police asked witnesses or anyone with dashcam or mobile footage to get in touch.

The A27 was closed eastbound between the M27 junction 12 and the A2030 Havant for most of the day.

The M27 was also closed between the A27 and junction 12.

Both sections have now reopened.
