Hull disorder: three 13-year-old boys arrested

Three 13-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with the disorder that followed a demonstration in Hull on Saturday 3 August.

One was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and affray, one on suspicion of violent disorder, and one on suspicion of burglary.

A 17-year-old girl and two men, aged 26 and 41, have also been arrested in relation to the disorder - all six have been released on bail while police inquiries continue.

Several more people, charged in connection with the violence, appeared at Hull Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

A 17-year-old boy charged with violent disorder, racially aggravated violence and damage to property was remanded into the care of the local authority.

A 17-year-old boy was also remanded into local authority care, charged with violent disorder and four burglaries.

A 15-year-old boy charged with violent disorder was remanded on bail.

A 17-year-old boy charged with burglary was also remanded on bail.

They are due to appear before magistrates again over the next few weeks.

On Saturday, Humberside Police released details of six people arrested:

  • A 13-year-old boy, arrested on suspicion of violent disorder

  • A 13-year-old boy, arrested on suspicion of burglary

  • A 17-year-old girl, arrested on suspicion of burglary

  • A 26-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of two counts of burglary, criminal damage and possession of class B drugs

  • A 41-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of violent disorder
