Attempted murder charge over boy and woman assaults

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman and a boy were assaulted.
Dorset Police were called to an address in Eagle House Gardens, Blandford Forum, at about 19:00 BST on 27 August.
It was reported that the victims had their throats squeezed by a man before the woman, aged in her 40s, managed to kick him away.
A 42-year-old man from Blandford Forum, charged with attempted murder and intentional strangulation, is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court later.
The victims were taken to hospital for their injuries and have since been discharged.
Police said the people involved were known to each other.
