Man dies after car crashes into tree in Devon

A man in his 80s has died after a car collided with a tree in Devon, police have confirmed.

Devon and Cornwall Police said emergency services were called to the A379 Teignmouth Road in Torquay on 10 November at about 12:55 GMT.

Officers were notified on Tuesday the man died at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, after suffering "life-threatening injuries" in the crash.

The force added: "Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has relevant information or dashcam footage, is asked to contact police."
