A man who absconded from an open prison has been arrested.
Thames Valley Police said Lee Mellenger, 27, had absconded from Spring Hill Prison, at Grendon Underwood, near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, on 28 July.
He was later detained and arrested on suspicion of escaping from lawful custody.
At least six men had absconded from the site in just over the space of a month. The BBC previously asked how many prisoners were still on the run from the jail, but the Home Office failed to answer.
Instead, it offered a brief statement, attributed to a Prison Service spokesperson, which said: "Prisoners who abscond face strict punishments, including being banned from open prisons for two years."
