Rural communities in Malvern Hills can apply for grants of up to £25,000

  • Published

Funding of up to £25,000 has been made available for rural businesses and communities in part of Worcestershire.

Malvern Hills District Council said the grants, funded by the government, would support "good value" capital projects that assist development and create new jobs.

The money can be used to fund things like new buildings or purchase equipment, but not to pay for staff or day-to-day running costs, the authority said.

Businesses can apply for grants of between £2,500 and £25,000 but will be expected to match 50% of the cost of the project.

Expressions of interest must be made through the Malvern Hills District Council website by midday on 5 May.

Projects must be based in a rural area within the area covered by the authority.
