Warning to shut windows as crews tackle house fire

Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a house in a seaside town.

The incident was reported at about 12:50 BST on Claredale Road in Exmouth, with six crews from Devon and Somerset Fire Service sent to the scene.

The fire service said its crews were working inside and outside the property to contain the spread of the flames, including removing plasterboard and roof tiles at the house.

Firefighters warned people to avoid the area and to keep windows and doors closed.
