A man accused of causing unnecessary suffering to 41 dogs found dead at the rescue centre he ran has been charged with four more offences.
Animal remains and a number of still-alive dogs were found during a raid at a property in Crays Hill, near Billericay, Essex, on 13 May.
Oaveed Rahman, 25, of Hope Road in the village, had already been charged with fraud by false representation, and of animal cruelty. He has now also been charged with three more counts of fraud and possession of a prohibited breed.
He is already due to stand trial in April, having denied a series of other offences.
Essex Police added that a 25-year-old woman from Chingford, north-east London, has also been charged with causing unnecessary suffering to an animal and failing to ensure an animal's welfare.
She will appear at Basildon Magistrates' Court on 9 October.
A third person, a 38-year-old man of no fixed address, who was arrested on suspicion of fraud and failing to prevent unnecessary suffering to animals, will face no further action.
