Motorcyclist killed in crash was 37 year old from east Belfast

The man who died following a motorcycle crash in east Belfast on Sunday was 37-year-old William Hunter from the city, police have confirmed.

He crashed on the Castlereagh Road at about 23:50 BST and it is believed no other vehicle was involved.

Insp Cherith Adair from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said Mr Hunter was taken to hospital "where he sadly died a short time later".

She appealed to anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash-cam footage from the scene to contact the PSNI's Collision Investigation Unit.
