A man has died after being injured at a poultry factory in West Yorkshire.

Emergency services were called to Station Yard, on Station Road in Bingley, shortly after 19:15 GMT on Tuesday.

West Yorkshire Police said a man, who had been reported as seriously injured, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

His death was being treated as an industrial accident, according to the police.

A police spokesperson added that officers were liaising with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and investigations were continuing at the site.

A spokesperson for the HSE said it was "working closely with West Yorkshire Police to establish the circumstances around this incident".

"Enquiries remain ongoing," they added.
