Cannabis plants with a street value of £200,000 have been seized from a property in Rotherham.

South Yorkshire Police executed a series of warrants across the town earlier as part of Operation Duxford.

They recovered 199 cannabis plants from a building just outside the town centre and a man was arrested on suspicion of production of Class B drugs.

A second warrant, in the Holmes area, also led to the seizure of cannabis, "snappy" bags and cash.

Police said a further man and woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

They added officers would be patrolling the area, combating incidents of anti-social behaviour, street drinking, begging and drug use.
