Some properties in a Devon seaside town lost their water supply after a water main burst.

South West Water (SWW) said on its website, external at 07:00 GMT on Friday some customers in Dawlish had lower water pressure than normal or a loss of supply.

SWW said its team had "rerouted the network" to return water supplies to normal levels and engineers were trying to complete the repairs as soon as possible.

Gatehouse Primary Academy said the incident had happened near its front entrance in Secmaton Lane but it did have water and would remain open.
