Southport Air Show 2025: All you need to know

Thousands of people are expected at Southport Air Show over the weekend for an event regarded as one of the UK's premier air displays.
Sefton Council said its programme would be "spectacular" for "families, friends, aviation buffs, and first-time visitors alike".
It promises high-tech jets, vintage warplanes and daredevil stunts that can be viewed either from the ticket-only cordoned-off beach area or any vantage point in the town.
The council said everyone was guaranteed a "shared celebration of flight, skill, and engineering marvels".
What time does it start?

Displays are subject to weather conditions
The show opens 10:00 BST and finishes at 17:00 Saturday and Sunday.
Exact flying times will be published on the Visit Southport website or social media channels.
Some displays may be rescheduled owing to the weather.
People are advised to monitor online updates.
How do I get tickets

People should check the air show website for an updated programme
Tickets are £12, and can be bought online or on the day at box offices near the beach viewing area.
Children can enter for free.
Parking is £10 per day.
Drones/small, unmanned aircraft systems are strictly not allowed to be flown within the air show site.
Sefton Council warns: "It is against the law to fly them within the air show restricted airspace. Please do not bring them to the air show."
What is the programme?

Several daredevil displays are promised
Displays include an RAF Typhoon and Battle of Britain memorial, and some of the first jets used by the RAF and World War One bi-planes will also be on show.
Among the daredevil displays will be Team Raven [the world's largest civilian aerobatic display team], the wing-walkers of Aerosuperbatics and The RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team.
Fans can view replica planes and check out the Armed Forces Military Village.
Flight simulators offer a chance to feel what it's like to be in the cockpit and what it takes to handle the G-force.

People should follow signs not their satnavs once they reach Southport says Visit Southport
The postcode for sat-nav is is PR8 1RY.
There will be some road closures in place, so people should switch to following signs for the air show once they see them en route.
Southport railway station is a 10-minute walk away from the site.
