- Published
A shelter surrounded by litter and drug paraphernalia has been discovered by police.
A water bailiff from the Peterborough and District Angling Association alerted cycle patrols to the man-made shelter near the Boardwalks nature reserve in Thorpe Meadows, Peterborough.
It had been made from branches and twigs and nearby there were plastic bags overflowing with rubbish. There were concerns the litter could harm wildlife.
Officers said they had reported the site to the city council.
