Police are appealing for more information after a man sustained serious injuries and had his bike stolen

A man was left with "serious" injuries in the road and had his electric bike stolen after a crash with a car.

The man, 27, from West Yorkshire, was riding an electric bike on Glebe Way, Cambridge when he was involved in a crash with a Mercedes at about 22:45 on 27 June.

After the crash, police said a passenger got out of the Mercedes and rode off on the bike and was followed by the driver of the car.

Police appealed for information, saying the man had his electric bike stolen following a "serious collision".

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said man did not suffer from life-threatening injuries.
