Teenager charged over racist attack

The boy has been charged with a racially aggravated assault said to have occurred in March 2024

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with committing a racially aggravated common assault early last year.
Cumbria Police said the charge relates to an attack on a boy in Carlisle on 15 March 2024.
The Crown Prosecution Service is also considering bringing a case against three other boys arrested in connection with the same crime, the force said.
The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear at Carlisle Youth Court on Friday.
