Two people are still in hospital after a serious crash on a Bristol city centre bridge, according to police.

Emergency services were called to the three-vehicle crash on Plimsoll Swing Bridge shortly before 12:20 BST on Saturday.

One of the casualties was taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

Avon and Somerset Police said there was no update on the conditions of those involved.

The A3029 Brunel Way was shut for about seven hours after the crash. It is a key route for motorists going in and out of the city via the Cumberland Basin and the closure caused severe delays.

Officers want anyone with information about the crash, including dashcam footage, to contact the force.
