A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a crash involving a car on a main road through the Peak District.

A stretch of the A57 Snake Pass, which links Sheffield and Manchester, was shut at the bridge over Ladybower Reservoir, in Derbyshire, at about 14:00 BST on Saturday.

The man riding a Honda motorbike was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening, adding there were no injuries reported in the Skoda Fabia, Derbyshire Police said.

The force said no arrests have been made. The road has since reopened.
