Motorcyclist injured in Snake Pass crash

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a crash involving a car on a main road through the Peak District.

A stretch of the A57 Snake Pass, which links Sheffield and Manchester, was shut at the bridge over Ladybower Reservoir, in Derbyshire, at about 14:00 BST on Saturday.

The Honda motorbike rider, a man, was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening, with no injuries reported in the Skoda Fabia, Derbyshire Police said.

The force added no arrests had been made. The road has since reopened.
