Man arrested over assault on woman

Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward

A man has been arrested after a woman was assaulted in Derby.
Derbyshire Police said a woman was taken to hospital after reports she was attacked in Boulton Lane, Alvaston, shortly before 18:15 BST on Saturday.
The extent of her injuries was not yet known, the force said.
Officers said a man in his 50s had been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remained in custody on Sunday.
Police said a cordon was in place on Boulton Lane, near the junction with Harvey Road, as inquiries continued.
Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
