Police issue CCTV appeal in Shaun the Sheep case
- Published
Police are asking for help in identifying three people after the vandalism of two Shaun the Sheep statues.
The sheep - part of a 100-statue Heart of Kent Hospice charity trail in Maidstone - were due to be auctioned off to raise money.
The pair were thought to have been worth £10,000 before they were destroyed "beyond repair" on 18 August, according to Kent Police.
Now the force has released CCTV images of a group they believe may able to assist with enquiries.
The sculptures, which were painted by local artists, were located in Brenchley Gardens and Fremlin walk.
The suspects allegedly took turns kicking the Fremlin Walk statue before walking towards Week Street.
Kent Police said it believed the two instances of vandalism were connected.
