Redditch outdoor market will return to the town centre after a five year absence.

The borough council said it hoped the market, which will feature 20 stalls and operate three days a week, would re-invigorate the area.

"We want to re-invigorate the area running down from the church past the library with regular, vibrant, good quality markets, council leader Joe Baker said.

The market shut after a five year contract came to an end in 2020. The council approved its return at a meeting on Monday and £83,000 will be put towards building new stalls.
