The Met Office has forecasted a rainy week for Cumbria, with spells of heavy and persistent rain with drier, brighter interludes, before cooler air moves in from the north.

There was widespread flooding in the county last week, which caused major disruption to travel and more than 265 flooding and drainage issues were reported.
